A heritage impact statement will ensure that the significance of the heritage asset is considered when a change or redevelopment is planned.  Not unlike the desk-based assessment, we offer a heritage impact statement will examine the history and development of the heritage asset and provide a detailed evaluation of the significance of the heritage asset and a justification for the project, along with any potential mitigation to allow the project to continue.

An archaeological desk-based study or assessment (DBA) is usually undertaken during the concept stage of the project to ascertain the historical value of a site, building or wider area. The DBA will review all available written and cartographic information relating to the site of interest and provide a summary of its historical potential to allow the project to go to the definition phase. BEAR Partnership has considerable experience of the successful delivery of this type of assessment.  We can also work alongside our construction and environmental consultants to ensure all potential risks and threats to your development are covered.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a process by which the potential beneficial and adverse environmental effects of a proposed development are determined. The effects are determined through a review of baseline conditions measured against predicted results using test cases or modelled results based upon available data. Where an EIA is required for a particular development, this involves the production of supporting assessments and/or technical chapters for a range of disciplines, as agreed via a scoping exercise.  into an Environmental Statement (ES).

Our heritage consultants can provide the skills, experience and knowledge to plan, achieve and interpret a wide range of heritage sites. We are passionate about heritage management as we strongly believe heritage enriches all of us.
