Archaeological Watching Brief

An archaeological watching brief is one of the most standard forms of archaeological mitigation. The scope of the watching brief will be agreed with the local planning authority to ensure areas of the site deemed to have archaeological potential will be monitored This will ensure any potential remains are identified and recorded. The watching brief can be undertaken alongside and embedded within your project programme to avoid undue delays. We utilise Project Controls across all projects to ensure that we achieve effective project and programme outcomes so that we can deliver required benefits to cost, time and performance to the client while ensuring risks to the historic environment are managed accordingly.

An evaluation is usually undertaken before any general remediation works commence on site, or pre-planning to ascertain current ground conditions. We utilise Project Controls across all projects to ensure that we achieve effective project and programme outcomes so that we can deliver required benefits to cost, time and performance to the client, while ensuring risks to the historic environment are managed accordingly
